Flip Off!! 2

It has been a L O N G week and I have really been looking forward to Friday Flip Offs:

In no particular order:

#1 Okay, adult acne, I've HAD IT!! I had clearer skin when I was 15 and ate junk. Gimme a break already! What is it gonna take? How much tea tree oil can one person use? And by the way, I have seen you pop up on several other Flip Off lists lately, so you might just want to watch your back.

#2 To the birds that have all of a sudden started showing up outside our bedroom window at 2:00 in the morning, let's just say I'm looking into shot guns. WTF?!

#3 Speaking of being rudely awaken at night, will the case of the hungries, the growing pains, teeth trying to bust their way into my son's mouth, tempting toys and perhaps even, the monster living under the crib, just FLIP the hell OFF?! Let the child sleep, for God's sake! More importantly let his mommy (and daddy) sleep... a full 12 hours. Thank you!

#4 No Friday Flip Off list of mine could be complete without me bitching about traffic, but this week it's my fellow motorists, okay, cyclists to be exact and point a (middle) finger. What the hell are you thinking?! You lycra-wearing snobs aren't above the law and you don't always have the "right of way". Follow the same rules as I do in my car or you're gonna hit. It's the law, oh and while you're at it, FLIP OFF!!

#5 With my (gulp) 38th birthday tomorrow, I would be remiss if I didn't give the big ole bird to AGE and growing older. I firmly do believe as Honest Abe is quoted as saying In the end, it's not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years, but I would swear since I had a child, I have more gray hairs and more defined crows feet than ever before. Plus, there are new aches and pains cropping up here and there and my mind is not what it used to be. This can't all be the baby's fault, so I have drawn my own conclusion that getting old SUCKS!

Whew, I feel so much better and it's all in part to Gigi at Kludgy Mom for creating this awesome meme.

Happy weekend, everyone!

The best is yet to be.

I am so with you on number 4! What is with these guys with their lycra wearing butts?! I have almost hit I don't know how many of them on the back country roads around here. They are NUTS and I swear they either think that they are invincible or just have a death wish! Bicyles and cars with motors Do.Not.Mix!

Yeah, what's up with #4? They don't even follow basic traffic laws and get angry when you call them out on it!

Happy birthday, my friend :) Hugs to you!

1. Happy early birthday! :)

2. The adult acne thing? has just been a continuation of teen acne. My skin has sucked since I was like 11 or 12. Now I have "pregnancy mask" on top of the bad skin. Pregnancy mask is supposed to go away. My son is 4 1/2. Yeah. Definite flip off there.

3. I live in Maryland. Traffic *always* sucks. I'm getting used to the idiots & a*holes, tho...

4. Getting old? Sucks the big fat one. I'm only 32 & I'm already pissed off about all the crap that isn't working right any more. My dad laughs when I tell him this. That is not encouraging.

5. Excellent list! :)

I can attest as a 41 year old that getting old SUCKS and it started to get really bad right around 38 or 39. 40? it was like my body literally started falling apart and looking skanky before my eyes. What up with that?

and you KNOW i'm with you on the adult acne!! it's right up there with traffic as a "sticky" for FFO!

Happy Birthday! Now that I'm on a hormone-free IUD, my zits get bad leading up to my period. It's awful when your 4 year old asks what's wrong with your face. :(

I love your list! I should start doing the same!!!! The last two weeks have been totally crap!

#1 : I've never seen you with the slightest spot/zit/acne breakout since I've known you. I've always admired your beautiful skin! Mine sucks since I moved to New Caledonia. All this humidity!!! ARGH!!!
Remember when we used to use NOXEMA when we were 15?

#2 : I sleep with our windows closed and the a/c on because of the insane dog that lives next door that barks all night (don't get me wrong I love dogs!). Thinking of you!

#3 I hope Lucas is out of teething etc soon and that you are all able to sleep 12 hours in a row...
However, it's been 6 years since I was last able to sleep 12 hours in a row. Well I could if I went to bed at the same time as the girls, but that sucks, and I enjoy the few hours of quietness, freedom that I have when they go to bed!!!!

#4 Ha ha! I know what you mean! I sometimes wish I had a mechanical arm to slap their little shinny lycra butts when overtaking them. Doesn't it piss you off when they take all the road for themselves as though they are doing the Tour de France, except that it's not the F.... Tour de France and that they are NOT on their own on the flippin roads!!!!!!!!!!

#5 I'll be 38 this year too! I know what you feel about all these new pains and stuff! I'm sure sleep deprivation doesn't help.
The good side about being a Mom, is that even if you look like a total wreck when you wake up (and feel like one), you're kids will always say that you are the most beautiful Mommy in the world! Just wait until Lucas talks!!!! If I was as pretty as you, I wouldn't mind turning 38!!! You're the prettiest friend I have!

It's the 26th here, so I CAN wish you a very Happy 38th Birthday!!!! May this year bring you all the happiness you deserve! I miss you, Friend! xoxo

Easy on the cyclists :) We are not all that bad and calling us lycra-wearing snobs? We are out there trying to be healthy and active and there are plenty of us who do respect the roads. I know you and your fellow posters may be frustrated but voicing that you want to run over cyclists is not a great solution. One of my cyclist friends was hit by a car who didn't like cyclists and killed just last year. And another was hit this year with someone who didn't like sharing the road either and now she is on her 12th surgery and learning to walk again. So I know you might not like them but please be careful when out there on the roads.

Paige, you are absolutely right, not all cyclists ignore the rules of the road, but in our neighborhood, they are NOTORIOUSLY bad.

As you know, my husband and brother-in-law are both avid riders and my brother-in-law makes his living off of cycling gear and even they both say it's bad around here!

Please know that I would NEVER go out of my way to hurt a cyclist and I am truly sorry if my comments were offensive to you. I am also sorry about the friend you lost and the one still recovering.

I've been there with the stupid birds. The same week they were waking me up at 4:00, making me seriously reconsider my feelings about guns, I was with a group where one person said they loved waking up early in the morning to chirping birds. I briefly considered shooting him, too.

What a great list.... I guess all you can say is "that's life". Right? What can you seriously do about any of these things? Nada.
This post got a lot of interesting feedback..Must be nice to get so many comments...haha
